Freedom of Religion Project--Due Wednesday
On Wednesday morning at 8am, the Freedom of Religion Photography project is due. You should have atleast five finished and edited photos posted to your blog and be ready to discuss them. This is a project (50%) grade and no late work will be accepted as the deadline was extended.
Content and variety are your artistic freedom. You must be able to justify your actions and photographs by giving the class an explanation of the religion.
As always, if you need help with the concepts of your project, it is your job to visit with me. Also, technical help with the editing and blog posts needs to be obtained before or after school, not the day the assignment is due.

Ready to view Haas' Butchers
We had a great visit to the Kimbell yesterday to view Philip Haas'Butchers, Dragons, Gods, and Skeletons exhibition. The students really enjoyed the films and are working on creative reflections. Please check the student blogs for their thoughts.
Philip Haas Exhbition Reflection
After having view Butchers, Dragons, Gods, and Skeletons at the Kimball Museum of Art, you need to write a reflection on your experience. Your next blog post is due on Friday morning at 8am. In your reflection you need to address the following issues:
- What were your overall impressions of the show? Did you like it? Did you dislike it? Explain why.
-Which original artwork was your favorite? Why? (extra credit for including the picture)
-Of the 5 films we viewed, which one, in your opinion, was the best? Elaborate.
-Include the link to the exhibition:

Photography example
In this photo I tried to show the power of the Catholic church by using the principle (Design) of Emphasis and the element (Art) texture.
Principles and Elements photos
By Monday morning, at 8am, you should have posted your favorite 5 photos from our Principles and Elements photo shoot. For each portrait, you will need to identify the one princple of design and the one element of art which is most evident. Please see me if your blog is having trouble posting photos and I will help you.
